Some thoughts about Batman: Beyond the White Knight #4

What is controlling the new generation of heroes?

Bruce is trying to work alongside his new partner while try to regain the trust of an old one. Meanwhile, Terry McGuinniss is trying to figure out if what he's doing is right.

This definitely explored a lot.

Sean Murphy offers a new installment where he goes deep in character work for pretty much the whole cast. We're shown how the complicated dynamic between the new Batman and Robin works and is actually pretty understandable considering everything that has happened in this particular universe. I especially dig how Bruce is really trying to do things right for the city and his family but he clearly doesn't know how to do it (especially when it involves talking with his kids) showing once again the kind of flawed hero that the writer has been building up during this line of books and developing further in a natural way.

I also really enjoyed the way how Terry McGuinniss is presented here due that we're shown another angle of his backstory, something that explores better his collaboration with Derek Powers. It connects nicely with his original, er, origin and gives it a bit of dark twist that you can expect from this series while it pushes the plot forward hinting at what his character will do next.

Murphy's artwork remains amazing, creating a lot of detail in every scene along with appropriate expressions for all the characters.

Content packed and satisfying read, can't wait for the next one.
