Some thoughts about Batman: The Knight #6

What is Anton's mission?

Bruce is learning under the world's greatest marksman now but he will quickly realize the friend he made over his journey has other objectives aside from simply helping people.

We have just reached a climax here.

Chip Zdarsky delivers one of his most intense chapters yet. This is a very character-heavy issue with most of the development coming from Bruce's personal growth, all of this around the classic theme about how Bruce doesn't really like to make others suffer and tries to stop his enemies in the the most painless way possible. Of course, this also relies a lot on the typical anti-gun message that Batman has and even involves a backstory that powerfully reinforces that message.

Which ultimately leads into a conflict between the two main characters we had due to the different perspectives about what fighting crime truly is. Mind you, I'm still not a fan of how emotional Bruce is here nor how close he gets to Anton (due that is getting very predictable these days) but overall, the clash morals is nicely done.

Carmine Di Giandomenico handles the art and is still very strong thanks to the dark tone that is also very detailed when it needs to, following the script perfectly.

Solid read, can't wait for the next one.
