Some thoughts about World's Finest #2

Can Superman's be saved?

Clark's hears has suffered great damage after their last adventure and now only the Doom Patrol can help him recover but by doing so, they will learn about the story of a demon who wants to conquer the world.

This is continuing satisfactorily overall.

Mark Waid offers a new installment where he plays with the ramifications of the last one about Superman having an intervention by the Doom Patrol to save his heart from Kryptonite. The premise is pretty fun in-and-of itself, Waid once again knows how to create classic comic stories and make them seem modern although is a bit of a disappointment that such plot-point is resolved rather quickly, what follows is pretty entertaining with a lot of character dynamics that are both fun and charming, this is something I forgot lately, Waid can be pretty funny and in current DC, that's something that I really need.

The following plot-points are interesting and while Waid is not known for his antagonists (In fact, a lot of them are pretty weak), he still can present imposing threats for the protagonists to face although this makes the continuity a bit of a mess. We were lead to believe that the Robin here was Dick Grayson who already knew Supergirl... who shouldn't be as old as him in the present. I suppose that Waid is playing with his own timeline here but some consistency would be nice.

Dan Mora's artwork is amazing, creating a lot of expression for the characters along with a clean and pleasent artstyle.

Solid chapter, can't wait for the next one.
