Some thoughts about Robin #12

Who is Robin's next adversary?

The tournament is long gone and yet Damian still feels like he needs to face one of his biggest opponents, his own family which will lead to a war that involves all of them.

Yet another set-up for Joshua Williamson's upcoming events but this actually works even better than what he did in Deathstroke Inc.

This chapter prepares us for the Shadow War crossover but at the same time works like a proper epilogue for everything that Williamson has done so far. I really dug the early encounter between Damian and Connor Hawke, especially how Damian mentions that he's too much like his father while Connor says he's the complete opposite to his dad which is as perfect as you can get and makes me wish I could see more of Williamson handling the Arrow family.

The best part comes halfway though with Damian finally planning to do what he wanted all along which makes him finally face his own mother and even himself, creating pretty appropriate and solid character development not only for him but also for everyone involved, putting all the key players in place for what's coming next. Very satisfied with this.

Roger Cruz handles the art and I like the manga-esque style he has, especially because this series has actual scenes coming from manga, the storytelling is pretty clear too.

Great read, hope everything works well in the future.
