Some thoughts about Supergirl: Woman of Tomorrow #7

Krem of the Yellow Hills has been caught. Now what?

Supergirl and Ruthy have finally completed their original mission but things are only getting more dangerous once they have to face Krem's allies.

This series is about to conclude and is still underwhelming for the most part.

Tom King is about to conclude this overly-long series with the usual hit and miss execution. There are things to appreciate here as usual like the conversation between Ruthy and Krem, something that the whole series has been building up all this time and I do dig how Krem was given much more depth without giving him some sort of redemption, he's still a pretty bad person but more compelling as such. Ruthy is also presented with an understandable dilemma which should be resolved in the next issue.

Then again, the capture of Krem was rather abrupt and makes me feel like something was missing between this and last issue, not to mention that such an important moment should have been given a much better execution and speaking of execution, the third person narration is still obnoxious and no wonder that the best part of the chapter is the one completely devoid of such narration.

Bilquis Evely's artwork still shines over the course of the read though, the characters are still pretty expressive and beautiful and the storytelling is very on-point.

Yeah, not sure if I really liked this one and I'm not expecting much from the finale.
