Is Supergirl getting closer to her objective?
Kara and Ruthy are still searching for Krem but for very different reasons which ironically will make them grow closer to each other.
Yeah, the same issues I had with the last chapter are amplified here.
Tom King offers a new installment where he continues the hunt for Krem and we're not exactly getting any closer to him. The story moves at a very, very slow pace which is not much of a surprise since King's stories rarely have enough content to inject a lot in each issue but the weird thing is that this chapter actually has many different segments focusing on a variety of settings and there's actually decent character work between the two protagonists.
The problem comes with the narration and boy, oh boy, is getting really frustrating, especially considering that the best parts of this chapter are the ones where King lets the art tell the story since whenever his narration boxes hit the page, everything automatically gets worse since he tells everything that happens in each scene with more detail than he should. At times it works like when it tries to give Kara's character more complexity but most of the time, is just worthless and overwritten material.
Bilquis Evely deserves an issue without dialogue because her work is wonderful, the beautiful characters convey emotions perfectly and the storytelling flow is simply perfect.
Barely anything happened and I'm pretty sure this will be the case for at least a couple more issues.
