Some thoughts about Wonder Woman #770

What is Wonder Woman's fate?

Diana has found herself reborn in Valhalla and once that a new ally is in danger, she will have no choice but start exploring this mysterious new world.

The Future State team of Michael Conrad and Becky Cloonan is back for the main Wonder Woman book and sadly, just like their previous effort, I don't find this particularly engaging.

For one, the idea of Diana being reincarnated in Valhalla where we see mythological characters and Gods like Siegfried and Thor of all people is not a bad idea per se and admitedly there's a few interesting segments in which Diana is involved where she has to get used to this new world even when she doesn't realize her own identity yet.

Unfortunately, the writing is not really up to par because of an overall lack of personality that makes the characters sound bland for the most part, and that includes Diana who doesn't really demonstrates much charisma. This is also reflected on the plot which is not that interesting nor presented in an exciting manner.

Travis Moore's art is pretty solid though with a vibrant style and expressive characters.

More compelling at least is the second feature written by Jordie Bellaire, if only because of the more lighthearted tone focusing on Diana's childhood where she has adventures and learns from her fellow Amazons. Paulina Ganucheau's cartoony style perfectly complements the script.

Not bad but not great for the most part, let's see where it goes though.
