Some thoughts about Red Hood: Outlaw #50

What is Red Hood's future?

Jason has been an outlaw for as long as he can remember but the friends he made over the years will teach him that he needs to go back to his roots now.

Well, this is an ending of sorts I guess.

Scott Lobdell finally closes the door on the series and characters that defined his career at DC so much and he does it in a kinda rushed way (I guess this is what happens when the accussations of sexual harassment over the years finally come back to you). The issue is mostly centered around character work which makes sense considering Lobdell has to create a resolution for most of the cast and he does bring back a few characters like Generation Outlaw (Mind you, I wish he would have brought back Bunker and Wingman as well).

Funnily enough, the issue is also centered around New 52 Joker's Daughter due to her involvement in an era that Lobdell handled and I just can't help but ask why? From all the characters he handled, I'm pretty sure she was the least popular one. Anyway, she does get a resolution, one that feels kinda abrupt but is a resolution nonetheless and this is all connected to Jason which leads him to the next direction in his life.

Paolo Pantalena's artwork is vibrant and follows the script clearly enough.

Decent enough but considering this is the finale to what I thought was a great book for a while, is kinda underwhelming. Hopefully the next writer has better luck.
