Can the Justice League understand an entire race?
The team is still trying to get a handle at ruling over a planet but things are too different for them. This is far from their only problem since some people are not content with their leadership.
Getting more and more interesting.
Si Spurrier delivers a new chapter where he continues his high-concept direction of the Justice League as rulers of a world. The worldbuilding is one of the highlights here due that we learn how different this race is from what the team is used to, we get to learn their vision of war, their growth, their mating rituals and even their ascend to the afterlife which provides a very rich read in terms of ideas.
Speaking of which, this also provides the issue of a lot of content which is something rather rare these days. Most pages offer compelling aspects of exploration and themes while also showing how each member of the team react to these discoveries. The plot is connected to all these aspects and showcases a logical development towards the end.
Aaron Lopresti handles the art and he manages to follow the script with a lot of detail while giving it a pretty vibrant look.
Good read, hope things stay this way.
