Some thoughts about Green Arrow #47

El Dia de los Muertos has arrived for Green Arrow.

Ollie has been captured thanks to Tarantula's betrayal and unless she realizes her mistake, this could mean the end for him.

This has been all over the place.

Ben Percy delivers the conclusion of this particular story where he follows immediately where the last chapter ended with Oliver trapped by El Jefe ("The Boss" in Spanish, pretty creative name). Now Tarantula for some reason realizes that she needs to save Ollie after she sold him out and i don't even understand how such a quick change of heart could happen but again, I remember who the writer is so forced directions and characterization to finish the plot are mandated.

Speaking about the characterization, Percy spends a lot of time explaining El Jefe's past and his motivations and while some of them are understandable, this could have easily been done in a more subtle way with less narration.

The worst part about this though? Oliver completely forgives and loves Tarantula after she kisses him despite of everything that happened. I quite frankly was expecting him to punch her and leave her forever. Then again, forced characterization.

Fabrizio Fiorentino and Federico Dallocchio share the pencils and is pretty much a mess, some pages look fine but the storytelling is really unclear with scenes that are not really well-told.

Awful ending. We need something new.
