Green Arrow is about to embark in a new adventure.
Oliver Queen continues to save Seattle one way or another but apparently that's not enough to certain people who want him to be more invested on it. However, there are bigger problems coming since people have been already hired to kill him.
And here it is the long-awaited return of Andrew Kreisberg to the Green Arrow comics.
Okay, I will try to be really fair here. The dialogue is pretty solid, most likely because this issue is scripted by writer Ben Sokolowski and he manages to deliver a pretty natural narration.
The issue is also solidly paced with decent action, sub-plots and the reintroduction of really important characters, one in particular that I hold really close to my heart. Oh and Felicity also appeared, you all knew that.
The big problem here is that I dislike how much Kreisberg wants to make Green Arrow like Batman. Beginning with the whole "this is my city" thing, which is something that Oliver Queen shouldn't say at all, as well as the "criminals need to fear", I mean really? You just need to put a couple of ears to his hood now.
This truly a concern for me because Olive should have his own identity and personality and not just be Batman-lite. There are so many better ways to handle his character that I can believe they went for this route.
Daniel Sampere is on art duties and his works is pretty solid. Not particularly distinctive but he gets the job done.
In summary, mixed thoughts about this one. We will see how it progresses.
