Clark has decided to come back to Smallville after all the battles he had to endure and enjoy a calm moment along with Lana and John. However, things are about to get complicated since something is really strange is happening in this small town.
Finally! This title is back in full force.
Greg Pak utilizes this Doomed aftermath to tell a pretty personal tale about Clark and Smallville and how he interacts with his home. The dynamic between Lana and him continue to be fantastic and especially enjoyed how the author handles the ramifications of the previous event in a pretty natural and progressive way.
Scott Kolins and Vicente Cifuentes are on art duties. Kolins' art looks a bit unrefined here but Cifuentes' work is quite strong and provides a lot of good moments.
Overall, great to see this title more character-focused again. More like this please.
