Some thoughts about Aquaman/Green Arrow: Deep Target #3

What caused the change?

Aquaman and Green Arrow have been captured and are being tortured by a mysterious being who is connected to their current situation and if they want to escape they will have to figure out what actually happened.

Okay, getting a bit better.

Brandon Thomas compensates the lack of content of the last couple of issues by giving a big infodump which, based on Aquaman: The Becoming this week, it seems like a tic of his. This doesn't really work for the better because this creates an issue where the characters, especifically the antagonist, mostly talk about the events that lead to this story which makes it very heavyhanded and tedious.

That being said, it was still good to see some revelations while creating a good set-up for the plot. I'm not that much of a fan of Green Arrow's character being so focused on social issues instead of developing his actual personality but what we have here is fine enough for Aquaman at least. It was also cool to see how Ollie's training in Nanda Parbat helped them escape.

Ronan Cliquet's artwork is pretty solid with expressive characters and clear storytelling.

Not that great but at least an improvement. Let's see if it continues that route.
