Can Supergirl be saved?
Kara and Ruth have been transported to a planet with a Green Sun that infects Kryptonians. Now is up to Ruth to protect Kara until night falls.
More of the same for better or worse.
Tom King offers a new installment where he changes a bit the dynamic between the protagonists. The idea of Ruth being the one protecting Kara after so many issues of the opposite happening is very appreciated, not to mention that King implements adequately the idea of both magic and different kind of suns to affect Supergirl's powers which creates a lot of tense scenes for both characters.
On the other hand, good Lord, I CAN'T TAKE THIS NARRATION ANYMORE! The emphasis on third person narration might have seen like a good premise on paper but it completely fails in execution (Just like most of King's premises I guess) due that it becomes extremely repetitive (Again, King) due that it happens in every single chapter with very little space to breath. Mind you, at times it can work quite well in scenes with no actual dialogue due that it expresses the emotions of the characters properly but most of the time they're both combined and makes the book extremely overwritten.
Bilquis Evely's art remains the highlight of the title and I wish that King would actually give her role more importance due that I believe she can tell the story alone thanks to her fantastic storytelling and beautiful style.
Yeah, not feeling this, not sure if I should continue since I know how this book will go on.
