Some thoughts about Aquaman: The Becoming #3

What is happening to Jackson Hyde?

Jackson is apparently being hunted because of his connection with Black Manta but what he doesn't know is that his mother might play an even more relevant role here.

A little cliche but still enjoyable enough.

Brandon Thomas offers a new installment where he further explores Jackson's background. Once again, Atlantis has a pretty prominent part in the plot and I'm glad that Mera is also an important character in the whole investigation since Thomas demonstrates a good take on her. The issue offers a decent amount of content too which escalates appropriately towards the cliffhanger.

What do I mean by "cliche" though? Well, it was all about such cliffhanger which I saw coming halfway the issue because of how obvious it was, particularly because of how much the antagonist here was criticizing Jackson because of his parents and sadly is one of the most predictable outcomes that they could have created. Mind you, is not necessarily a bad one and might lead to interesting developments but is still too derivative for my taste.

Scott Koblish handles the art and is pretty solid expressive characters and clear storytelling.

Not bad but not that great, hope the next one is better.
