John has been granted powers related to the New Gods and he will try to make a good use of them. Meanwhile Jo has found herself as the new leader of the Corps in the absence of the rest.
Still progressing adequately.
Geoffrey Thorne offers a new installment where he further expands the ongoing plot in a logical manner. John receives most of the spotlight this time centered around his new God-like abilities and this is a fine angle for him and a breath of fresh air to see someone besides Kyle Rayner gaining such status (Seriously, I've lost count of how many times Kyle has reached God levels). The writer implements such angle fine so far but it would be cool to see John's background as an architect complementing such powers.
The segment about Jo is a little shorter this time but offers an interesting direction for the character and the rest of the cast and ironically, brings the more important plot-point of the whole issue but is sadly not an unexpected one.
ChrisCross and Marco Santucci share the pencils and their work is fairly consistent and solid over the course of the read with clear storytelling and a lot of detail.
Good read, hope the next one arrives soon.
