Whatever happened to Superboy?
Conner has been trying to figure out what happened to his history all this time and thanks to his friends, they're now closer to the truth.
*sigh* Can someone PLEASE tell Brian Bendis that hugs don't automatically make a story more heartwarming?
Seriously, that has been a constant thing during this whole series and it's also present here in ways that are just obnoxious, hell, at one point even Bart mentions that they should reunite just to hug, everything is so forced that is unbelievable.
Revelation? What revelation? You mean the stuff about Conner that everyone knew? Because that was the whole "revelation" of this issue. We all knew that Conner was from the previous continuity and thus is no longer from this universe but somehow Bendis still believed that was necessary to explain with a lot and I mean A LOT of detail, so much that the entire chapter is just a big exposition of what happened for that simple fact.
If there's something that I appreciate here is that the history of Young Justice is brought back including classic characters like Arrowette and the promise of even more returning but again, nostalgia just can carry a book for so long. Oh, and there's also another mystery concerning Bart but after this issue, I don't expect anything.
John Timms and Scott Godlewski handle the art and their work is pretty good looking, particularly Timms thanks to his semi-cartoony and expressive style.
Aside from that, this was a waste of time and you better expect nothing next.
