The Brave and the Bold together again!
Hal has asked Barry with a mysterious case that involves an old lover and golden giants, and things are only going to get weirder from there.
Well, I think this is where this particular volume starts delivering on its promise.
Grant Morrison offers a new chapter where he brings back the classic team-up of Green Lantern and The Flash and if you know something about Morrison is that he was going to use this as an opportunity to go full crazy Silver Age. Just from the beginning you see references to an old case concerning the Golden Giants which which forces the heroes to go to another dimension where their entire existence is at risk. The story is full of bizarre moments where reality is distorted and their lives are constantly manipulated and the conclusion is just as insane as you might hope for. You have to give Morrison credit for getting this right.
If that wasn't enough and just as I predicted since this series started, it seems like Morrison is fixated in bringing back every single love interest Hal had during his history and that's represented by the appearance of Olivia Reynolds who is probably Hal's most known girlfriend behind Carol Ferris during that weird time when he was a toy salesman (Seriously). Morrison even references an old concept linked to her which becomes the solution for this particular case and ends in an interesting cliffhanger.
Liam Sharp remains in art duties and he does a fantastic job at recreating every bizarre event that Morrison plotted. Great stuff.
Good read, hope the next one continues this trend.
