Harley Quinn will depend on her friends to get what she wants.
Renee believes that Harley has something to do with the Joker's recent behavior but Harley knows there's something else about it.
This was a Jimmy Palmiotti and Amanda Conner Harley Quinn story through and through and I'm all for it.
If there's something that the writers wanted to do right from the beginning of this book is to connect both the comics and the recent Birds of Prey movie and they do so by revisiting a lot of their old ideas and characters. Harley knowing all of the Birds of Prey still makes no sense considering most of them haven't even met in this continuity but this is compensated by the other continuity that is brought. We see the appearances of old favorites like Atlee/Terra whose connection to Power Girl and Harley during the writers' runs are constantly referenced, Harley Sinn who was sn enemy/ally of the protagonist for a while along with a few other cameos here and there. It's great if you're a Harley fan.
Mind you, this comes a bit of a cost of the other characters since the Birds of Prey themselves don't have a lot to do. The one who has the biggest role besides Harley is Cassandra due that she stars in many action scenes and her connection to Barbara Gordon is emphasized but the others don't do a lot unfortunately. Still, there's a lot of humour and fun scenes.
Conner's artwork continues to rock with her classic lighthearted and cartoony style that gets the best from every scenes and manages to include fun hints as well.
Good read, hope the next one gives more to do to the other characters though.
