Who is the Designer?
Batman is about to battle the greatest villain from the old generation but he knows there's something more behind his mask.
This went as predictably as you could expect and just for the worse.
James Tynion IV delivers the final chapter of his opening arc to mostly create a set-up for the next one and doesn't that remind you of someone else? Yes, yes, everyone knows Tynion follows Scott Snyder's pattern in every way possible so this doesn't come as much of a surprise but is still disappointing. What's more disappointing is that this was mostly done to once again, overhype the Joker to extreme levels for the upcoming storyline Joker War and once again, that's as Snyder as you can get except that at least Snyder came up with better names for his arcs.
Punchline continues to be an important presence here to nobody's surprise either and also gets overpowered to the point where she easily dispatchs Harley Quinn and humilliates her (Getting Andrew Kreisberg's Cupid vibes here and that's always a bad thing). Plus, she contributes to Joker's next steps on his plan and makes me wonder what actually is all about.
Guillem March and Javier Fernandez share the pencils and their work is great, their styles are pretty different with March's artwork being the most visually impressive but the storytelling in Fernandez' work is a bit more polished.
Ugh, not anticipating the next one but will be there to check the trainwreck.
