Some thoughts about Justice League of America #13

Martian Manhunter was brutally defeated by Despero, how can Stargirl be able to face him?

Connecting to his psyche, Courtney will learn that Despero was not always the horrible being he is now and she will also discover what's happening to the Justice Leagues and what they need to do to save them.

Okay, I think this arc has officially gone too long. I really appreciate what Matt Kindt has been trying to here by expanding Stargirl's characterization and giving her a good father/daughter dynamic with J'onn, I think the segments focusing in both of them were. He also gave some depth to Despero that I hope it's explored in future appearances of the villain.

Unfortunately, the revelations were nothing special so far and were what most people were expecting, besides at the end of this issue we're basically where we started, at least this will be the last chapter focusing on this story since it's supposedly finishing in Forever Evil #7.

Eddy Barrows and Tom Derenick continue to work together in art duties and they do a good job with their distinct styles but the different inkers kinda affect the overall work.

Average issue to be honest. It's not really the kind of ending I was hoping for.
