Some thoughts about Suicide Squad #2

Can Superboy fight for Amanda Waller?

The Squad has gone to kidnap and recruit Talon and to do so, they will need the help of Conner Kent despite that he's not really willing to cooperate with criminals.

Second issue and I still really don't like Robbie Thompson's writing to surprise of no one.

The chapter further developes the direction that Thompson stated during his Future State work and does so as poorly as previously. First of all, let's talk about the dialogue that is as heavyhanded as you can imagine since for some reason, Thompson didn't learn from his mistakes about introducing new characters that he still has the need to make Peacemaker describe each one of them in an unnecessary and unrealistically detailed manner to the point of almost being comical.

Speaking of Peacemaker, the bluntness is somehow related to his characterization as well since he has to keep repeating how he wants "Peace at any cost" and does it way too many times for my taste and to be honest, he doesn't really go more complex than that, Thompson just goes with a simplistic trait and doesn't even bother to develop it. The rest of the cast doesn't fare any better since they're just as one-not as you can get, especially one that is basically Roundhouse from Teen Titans personality-wise but somehow Thompson does a better job at replicating that personality here than when he wrote Roundhouse on Teen Titans (although the character here is way more annoying).

Finally, there's Conner Kent and he's treated like a clone and is not given a really justifiable reason to stay on the team and is not like I expect more.

Eduardo Pansica's artwork is very expressive and detailed at the very least.

Aside from that, this continues to be mediocre at best.
