Some thoughts about Rorschach #7

The Squids are coming.

Everything is connected to Wil Myerson, including the mysterious attack that happened on Earth and what has been happening with comic creators.

A bit more progression but still pretty obscure overall.

Tom King offers a new chapter where he continues to go meta. I must say that I keep enjoying the references to comic creators and artists, particularly Steve Ditko who is still clearly represented on Wil Myerson which allows for a few fun moments like the homage to Amazing Fantasy #1, the first appearance of Spider-Man. Not to mention that this is not limited to Ditko since Frank Miller himself also makes a sort of appearance here, last issue I thought it was a simple coincidence but once that his work "Dark Fife" is mentioned then things become pretty blatant. Is all in good fun and with a lot of respect too.

Then again, King can't just help himself with the cryptic writing. Particularly when it tries to move the plot since there are many bizarre elements that don't quite have an explanation and I fear that King is going to run out of issues before he gets a satisfying resolution to this. The importance of the Squid compared to the original Watchmen novel is interesting at the very least.

Jorge Fornes handles the art and is still wonderful with many expressive characters and precise storytelling.

Decent read, just for the love of God, stop being pretentious.
