Superman will have to survive the attack of Rogol Zaar.
Clark and Kara are trying to defeat the being who has caused so much damage to their world that will prove to be more difficult than expected.
Thought for a second that this was the end but apparently this is far from over.
And to be honest, I feel like this plot is taking more than it should. Is not like the story that Brian Bendis is creating is bad, if anything is one of the best things he has done in a while. I'm particularly a fan of the dialogue (which I seriously wasn't expecting), most of the characters show a lot of personality during their respective lines, even more than usual in fact. Plus, the issue escalates really solidly towards the end with each page showing how dangerous Rogol can be and increasing his presence and threat in each new segment.
The thing is that I can't help but feeling that the plot is getting decompressed and could have ended in this issue alone, that's one of the reasons why I thought the series was over here. I don't feel like the main story needs this amount of issues for such a simple direction. Mind you, Bendis does know how to exploit some of those factors but it makes me wish things went a bit faster.
Kevin Maguire handles the main segment and his work is really good thanks to his incredibly expressive characters who at times seem like too expressive and comical for the story but they get the job done. Jason Fabok handles a few segments and they're also beautiful.
Good, but I hope things start being revealed next time.
