Another fight for the right of Batman's best man is about to start.
Clark and Dick are ready to make a bachelor party for Bruce but what they don't know is that one his oldest enemies is not ready to let him go on.
This is pretty much this week's Batman done right!
Tim Seeley delivers yet another tie-in to the current wedding arc in Batman in a way that easily eclipses that story. This time the focus goes to both Nightwing and Hush and just from the beginning you can tell this is going to be an entertaining story thanks to the great dynamic between Dick, Bruce and Clark. Seeley once again demonstrates how well he understands the character of Nightwing and the relationships he has with his closest ones.
The battle against Hush showcases a lot of interesting concepts concerning the Multiverse but at the same time it provides a compelling conflict between Dick and Hush which developes the latter in a way that makes sense based on his history of envy and frustration towards Bruce and might have gone even a bit meta once that Dick comments: "You never were there Tommy" which might refer to the fact that Tommy was originally a retcon. All of this escalates solidly to the satisfying ending where everyone, even Hush gets a bit of resolution.
Travis Moore handles the artwork and is quite good looking with beautiful characters, great expressions and strong storytelling.
This is exactly what a fight for the right of being Batman's best man
should be. Not a bunch of "creative" (awkward) ideas thrown together
like what Tom King is doing but creating actual good character work
along with a few interesting concepts here and there. Seeley is saving this whole ordeal.
