Some thoughts about Flashpoint Beyond #6

What is the fate of the Flashpoint universe?

Thomas Wayne always believed that he would do anything for his son to be safe but after returning to his own reality he will learn that is better to accept and move forward for the sake of everyone.

Well, this ending delivered in more ways than I initially anticipated.

As I said at the beginning of this book, the Flashpoint Beyond universe is where things went even worse than in the original Flashpoint but this time it was to make a point. The timeline has been constantly altered as the Time Masters manifested and there's very little to change its course, that is unless one of the most important persons in this timeline finally understands that some things had to happen and he just needs to live with them.

This is a very powerful message and one that Geoff Johns has been clearly been building-up since he finished the first Flashpoint event. It's pretty obvious that the writer is not the same person he was when he initially wrote that crossover and this is reflected in the development of Thomas Wayne who has been evolving as a character over the course of the years and Johns even implements some of the mistakes that happened to Thomas (Like Tom King's run) in his favor to showcase a very fitting and compelling resolution to this journey.

And is not like things are going to get any better in the Flaspoint universe. Hell, if anything things continue to get worse by the upcoming Kryptonian invasion (and of course Kryptonians had to be conquerors here) but weirdly enough it seems like the people here have found peace, especially Thomas and Martha whose relationship has become much more emotional than ever before.

Oh, and obviously you can expect the classic references from Johns which are appropriately delivered by the Time Masters who at some points go full meta and reference changes in origins, events and drop hints about the future with many important names being dropped here and there while connecting to the works that Johns has been creating for a while.

Xermanico, Mikel Janin and Gary Frank share the pencils and they all do a wonderful job during their respective sections, following the script perfectly and elevating it to new levels.

Great conclusion, can't wait to see how these ideas continue.
