Some thoughts about Deathstroke Inc. #9

Deathstroke wants revenge now.

The attack against Slade has hurt someone who got very close to him and now he's ready to end with the whole Al Ghul family but Batman is not willing to let that happen.

Getting more interesting overall.

Joshua Williamson offers a new chapter from his Shadow War crossover to create more solid characterization and a few fanservice moments. The character work that occurs after Respawn was seemingly killed is very appropriate considering everything the protagonist has going through and this leads to an investigation from Batman & Robin to figure out who actually started all of this (and once again, Williamson demonstrates how well he understands the dynamic between Bruce and Damian with little hints at their detective work).

The fanservice moments come from the action scenes, especially when Slade faces Batman Inc. I suppose some people will like how he praised Ghost-Maker (Don't know who though) but the most fanservice part for me was when Slade calls Ghost-Maker a "low budget Batman" which is pretty much what everyone thinks about the guy (In fact, at times it seems like Williamson is forced to praise the derivative character for some reason).

Paolo Pantalena's angular style is fitting for the more dynamic scenes and gets a lot of detail in some segments.

Fun read, let's see how things go on in Robin.
