Batman & Robin are hunting Deathstroke's imposter now.
Trying to figure out who actually murdered Ra's Al Ghul will lead Bruce and Damian to find out what were the reasons for such attack which could unleash death to everyone involved.
Getting more and more interesting.
Joshua Williamson offers a new installment where revelations start to drop. First of all, I have to mention how much I love the dynamic he's building up between Bruce and Damian (which also is an appropriate development from Williamson's work on Robin), the interactions are on-point, charming and even funny, is an interesting relationship between father and son and something I haven't seen since Peter Tomasi's Batman & Robin run which makes this a success already.
About the plot, the twists are finally shown and they're pretty intriguing so far and gives a new meaning to this whole war. Not to mention that Williamson once again uses continuity in his favor, even if is worthless stuff like Brian Bendis' ideas, and help his story in a logical manner while also giving hints about who is truly behind all of this.
If I had a complaint though, and this is not Williamson's fault, is that Ghost-Maker being the leader of Batman Inc. instead of just a simple member is trying to elevate a character that doesn't deserve anything. Tynion's influence is still present sadly.
Howard Porter's artwork is amazing and he's actually able to alter his style depending on the scene based on the investigation or action scenes. Great work.
The second feature about the actual first encounter between Batman and Deathstroke concludes with Williamson creating solid character work for everyone involved, even the Joker, while addressing why nobody ever mentioned this in a clever way. Trevor Hairsine manages to make his art look appropriately classic for the tone of the plot.
Great read, can't wait for the next one.
