Can Hawkman save people from the disease?
In a different life, Carter finds himself trying to cure a plague that has been killing everyone but they will all have to realize that fear itself is their bigger enemy.
This series returns and it seems like Robert Venditti is fixing some of his mistakes at last.
This chapter focuses mostly on a stand-alone story about yet another of Carter's lives. This time is centered around an era where a terrible plague affected humanity. Considering the current pandemic that is affecting the whole world, is hard to not think that Venditti suddenly changed the course of the main plot to create a tale about a similar event but I think it works for the better in that regard. The look Carter has is reminiscent of the doctors from the "Black Death" disease of the middle ages and the entry evokes interesting and fitting themes about fear and humanity.
Best of all though, is that VENDITTI FINALLY GOT RID OF SKY TYRANT! He probably realized that people were tired of him and quickly decided to make Carter go back to normal. This makes the series way better in my book.
Marcio Takara and Fernando Pasarin share the pencils and they do a pretty a good job during their respective sections with solid storytelling and lots of detail.
Good read, hope things stay this way.
