Some thoughts about Superman #2

Superman's enemies are evolving.

The Parasite is suddenly multiplicating and Clark doesn't know what's causing this but the worst thing is going to happen next once that the threat starts spreading like a virus.

Man, this story is going into interesting territory.

Joshua Williamson continues his story by exploring more about the premise of Luthor's enemies coming for Superman. We're being introduced to such a concept like the Secret Order of Mad Scientists which was already a thing in the past but this time it serves to present some of the new antagonists of the title and they're definitely shown as a believable force.

More intriguing though, is the way how The Parasite is developing his powers now. The idea of multiplicating himself is fairly simple but it makes him a much more problematic enemy to handle and the biggest surprise comes towards the end once that his new abilities are expanded and creates a more personal conflict for Clark and the entire city. Is just a really well-done way to use an old villain.

Jamal Campbell remains in art duties and his work is still beautiful, especially the scenes where he draws Parasite since he showcases his powers in a very vibrant way and with a lot of detail.

Solid chapter, can't wait for the next one.
