Some thoughts about Flashpoint Beyond #5

What is changing the timeline?

Thomas's loved one has returned to the death to finally get what both always wanted. Meanwhile, Bruce will get closer to the answer he has been looking for to a dangerous degree.

Getting more and more interesting.

Geoff Johns alongside Jeremy Adams and (ugh) Tim Sheridan offer a new installment and once again, Johns showcases how much he appreciates the DC continuity. From the references to the constant Crisis to the multiple antagonists that created them and the people who were relevant during those times, I always love the attention to detail that the writer brings to the table as well as how it contributes to the ongoing plot. More important though, is that Johns apparently wants to create an amalgam of many continuities (based heavily on the Hypertime concept) in which a lot of his stories actually occurred like Doomsday Clock, especially Doomsday Clock in fact which I'm very thankful since I believe that story should be further developed.

There are other things to admire here like the surprisingly touching relationship between Thomas and Oswald (the latter still being the most sympathetic version of the character) and of course, the interactions between Thomas and the main villain which escalates perfectly towards the ending that makes me excited about what's going to happen next.

Xermanico and Mikel Janin share the pencils and their work is great is amazing during their respective sections with perfect storytelling and detailed touches.

Great read, can't wait for the conclusion.
