Can Midnighter and Apollo escape from hell?
Neron is sure that he has beaten both but Apollo is going to remind him who he is dealing with.
This series is over and while it wasn't as strong as Steve Orlando's last Midnighter series it was still a worthy read.
The writer concludes this story with all the right beats that might remind you of the Wildstorm line including the big moments, appropriate lines for them and strong action scenes. The widescreen feel is real while the promise for a bigger development in the future is also present.
However, the best part of this book was the relationship between the protagonists. Orlando really makes you care for both Midnighter and Apollo by making every scene where they appear together charming which includes a pretty nice homage to Alan Moore's Whatever Happened to the Man of Tomorrow? at the end.
Fernando Blanco's artwork looks a bit rough at times but he still manages to depict the story in a competent manner.
Enjoyable ending, I just wish this book would have been as good as the last one.
