Some thoughts about Dark Crisis #3

Are the heroes ready to face this new Crisis?

Black Adam believes that they need to be much more violent if they want to fight the new dark forces that are coming meanwhile the Green Lantern Corps are going to try to confront Pariah by themselves.

Third chapter and this still feels like a set-up.

Joshua Williamson continues his story while focusing on the heroes reacting the most recent attack. There are things to appreciate here like the character work with each member of the cast acting appropriately based on their respective histories while the conflict between their different beliefs is interesting at times. Of course, there are also the classic references like Williamson addressing the friendship between Jason Todd and Roy Harper (something I was missing) and Hal Jordan mentioning how he fought people with the Anti-Monitor look, just good attention to continuity.

On the other hand, I still wonder where this story is actually going because there's very little happening in terms of progression with the actual "Crisis" still not properly happening (and the characters even addressing this) and the pacing being overly slow for an event comic.

Daniel Sampere handles the art and I'm still very impressed about how much he has improved his work since now it has a level of detail that at times makes it look like something that Gary Frank would do. Great job overall.

Aside from that, something needs to happen fast already.
