Some thoughts about Batman/Superman #8

How can Kandor be saved?

General Zod has revived his people with the help of the Lazarus Pit but they all have gone insane in the proccess and now both Batman and Superman will have to stop them.

This little arc comes to its conclusion and it was satisfying overall.

Joshua Williamson handles a new installment where he explores a bit more of General Zod's motivations. I really appreciate the amount of depth the character of Zod has gotten since Rebirth and Williamson continues that trend by even giving us some glances of his childhood, how that lead him to his obsession with Kandor and how he might be continuing that mentality with his own son.

The rest of the cast also get a good portrayal since both Superman and Batman's themes are well-implemented here in terms of personality and even in their own villains. The clash between Zod and Ra's is executed appropriately and ends in a logical way that feels fitting for all the cast.

Nick Derington handles the art and is decent with a clean style that follows the story clearly enough.

Good read, hope the next one arrives soon.
