Batman will have to fight for his life and other people as well.
Alfred can't help but remember how his past is connected to their current predicament and now all is about to clash.
Another quite dense issue at least.
Scott Snyder delivers a new chapter packed with details concerning the plot as well as delivering solid character work. The amount of narration in terms of flashback is pretty typical from Snyder's work and at some points it can get pretty preditable and repetitive but it still gets the job done considering how the whole story has been progressing.
The parallels between Alfred and Bruce continue to be explored and while most of it is expected, they still offer good moments of characterization. The implementation of villains for the story remains interesting and offer solid twists towards the end.
Rafael Albuquerque handles the artwork and is pretty appropriate thanks to his distinctive, detailed and dark style.
There's a second segment once again written by Albuquerque and Rafael Scavone which is a decent mystery story, not particularly unique but gets the job done. Sebastian Fiumara's artwork is pretty appropriate for the tone.
Enjoyable overall, is not a great issue but it progresses the plot decently.
