Who is manipulating the Combaticons?
Starscream has just discovered a way to infiltrate into Blastoff's mind and is ready to approach the rest of the team the same way, as long as Blastoff cooperates.
Character-wise I think this was a huge success.
Mairghread Scott delivers a new chapter where she exploits the manipulating nature of Starscream and my God, that's one of the best aspects of this story. The characterization that Scott creates really makes the classic schemer shine by demonstrating how smart and calculating he can be and more importantly how immensily entertaining he can be at it. Scott always had a good handle on the character but here is the first time I can actually call it "great". The introduction of characters like Airachnid is also appreciated.
That being said, good God, I DETEST how Scott handles Transformers romance. There are scenes where both Onslaught and Blastoff start sleeping together and kissing and at that point they might as well be just human beings. This is not the kind of Asexual interpretation that James Roberts has been creating during his work on the franchise, this is pretty much a sexual thing and not much different from what you see artists drawing in Tumblr (which is not a good comparison at all).
Sara Pitre-Durocher handles the artwork and is solid with polished character models and a vibrant style.
Yeah, I have issues with this one but I still believe it was enjoyable for the most part.
