Some thoughts about Superman #4

What are Lex Luthor's plans?

Lex is trying to convince Superman that he has the best intentions for Metropolis and the world. However, the sudden involvement of another supervillain might change their decisions.

Yeah, this continues to be quite great.

Joshua Williamson offers a new installment where he explores more of the dynamic between Superman and Luthor and I must say that this is easily the best part of the book. Right from the beginning when Lex defends Superman (in the classic argument of "Who is better, Superman or Batman?") in his own way, you can see that Williamson understands the level of respect that Lex has for his nemesis and I really dig that since the portrayal of Luthor as a jealous douche was too overplayed over the years.

The rest of the issue continues to develop from that relationship and I believe the plot itself doesn't progress that much but the writer still manages to include a few details about the main plot-point concerning Luthor's enemies and best of all we see a revelation about the classic villain Silver Banshee (who is probably based on the New 52 version who appeared in Supergirl based on Williamson's love for continuity) and another member of the Superman cast.

Jamal Campbell and Nick Dragotta handle the art and is solid with a vibrant and beautiful style that follows the script perfectly.

Good read, can't wait for the next one.
