Some thoughts about Transformers #50

Optimus will need to make a desperate decision for the fate of Earth.

Galvatron has finally found what he was looking for and nobody is safe anymore. Now Optimus will have to promise the people from the planet that he will protect them even if they don't want to.

The new storyline All Hail Optimus officially begins here and so far is a promising start.

John Barber continues his story where he plays with a lot of the ramifications of the previous storyarc Conquerors with Galvatron finally revealing who Blackrock truly is and what are the kind of abilities he has. The best thing about this is the plannification, everything has been escalating up to this point to show that Optimus has no other choice but basically taking control over Earth and the writer manages to explore this from every side.

Humans are obviously not happy with this decision and they're prompt to demonstrate it. Meanwhile, parallels between Optimus and Megatron are quickly being drawn by all the Cybertronians and the way how this is depicted is quite logical. The characterization works nicely for this while the plot starts revealing what could happen in upcoming chapters.

Andrew Griffith handles the artwork and is pretty impressive with beautiful characters either humans or robots and great action scenes.

Pretty intriguing opening. Definitely invested in the future.
